This is my fourth or fifth visit to Grand Turk, one of the islands in the nation of Turks and Caicos. In fact, this is my second visit this year. I was here in January.
We arrived today at about 11:00, with clearance to go ashore shortly thereafter. It was hot today, but not too humid, with a light breeze. I decided to wait to go out until after lunch.
After wandering around the shops for an hour or so, I got an overpriced 12-ounce chocolate milk shake, and had a seat. Don't get me wrong, it was a delicious shake, just the size doesn't justify the price. On my way back to the ship, I also swung by one of the stores and picked up a Turks and Caicos Christmas Tree ornament. I decided earlier in the year ornaments will be my new thing to collect.
Frankly, the only other thing to report is that I ordered my Chocolate Delight from Room Service. It's one of the things I get now as a Premium cruiser. It came while I was writing this blog. I got 4 chocolate covered strawberries, 2 macaroons, and 2 chocolate bites. It looks sooooo good.
Ok. That's all for today. Tomorrow is our last port: Amber Cove. This is the only port on this voyage to which I've never been. I've heard alot of good things about it. From what I understand, there's a lot to do there--even without shore excursions.
